Aldub's "Imagine You and Me" a Box-Office Hit

Phenomenal loveteam Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's second movie "Imagine You and Me" grosses nearly P13-M in first few hours.

As of 6 p.m. of July 13, 2016, the AlDub movie has already reached P5,845,544 in Metro Manila and P7,020,889 in provinces, for a total gross of P12,866,433, according to figures released by APT Entertainment, the film production unit.

The movie was released days after Maine Mendoza's first anniversary in showbiz and 3 days before AlDub's first anniversary which is on July 16.

According to GMANewsOnline, some group of AlDub fans organized block screenings at four cinemas at Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City on Wednesday night in cooperation with the GMA Kapuso Foundation, part of these ticket sales going to charitable institutions.

"Imagine You and Me" follow the story of Andrew (Alden Richards) who does not believe in fate and Gara (Maine Mendoza)an OFW who is a great believer of destiny and true love. As they cross path in Italy, their personal beliefs help them recognize each other and view love in an unusual way.

Other stars in this movie are Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Irma Adlawan, Yayo Aguila, William Martinez, Luis Alandy, Elijah Alejo, Cacai Bautista, Jerald Napoles, Cai Cortez and directed by Mike Tuviera under APT Entertainment, GMA Films, and M–Zet TV Production, Inc.

To date, "Imagine You and Me" is the highest first day gross for Filipino film in 2016.
