On March 30, 2017, John Lapus posted a screenshot of a joint statement from the singer Erik Santos and Erickson Raymundo, president of Cornerstone Entertainment Inc., regarding a libel suit they filed against the radio host, reporter, and columnist Jobert Sucaldito. This was under their legal counselor, Atty. Joji Alonso.
The official statement says that Sucaldito is will be facing a total of 45 libel counts and 1 count of slander. They said the case was about Sucaldito’s posts on which allegedly misrepresented and questioned the identity, sexuality, character and integrity of Erik and the talent management he is under in social media.
Santos specifically filed 21 counts of libel and 6 counts of grave threats in the Prosecutors office in Quezon City. Santos also provided screenshots of Sucaldito’s malicious posts.
