Kris Aquino is no longer a Kapamilya

One of the biggest and brightest stars of ABS-CBN for 22 years have decided to leave the network.

Philippine showbiz' Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino has finally decided to leave ABS-CBN as she is set to do a TV project with APT Entertainment, Inc., which is closely associated with rival GMA-7. 

Though there was no formal interview, Kris revealed the news in a 3 part posts on her Instagram account.

Aquino confirmed she had a meeting with the Kapamilya network last July but said that "there was no definite show and no assured time frame of my return on air. I perfectly understood- as much as I wanted to believe I was a pillar of the network, everybody is dispensable. And I say that with no bitterness - just HONESTY.”

After all these social media posts that the 45-year-old acress made for the past weeks, netizens stil had speculations on what were her reasons of leaving the network. 

Some of them still think it could be that the Lopez' now favor the Duterte administration. While others believe that she was confident that despite her leave of absence on her morning show, Kris TV, the network would not replace her timeslot.

Surprisingly, Magandang Buhay, which used to have Kris Tv's timeslot gained a lot of positive feedback and hugh ratings from the home and online viewers took Kris TV out of the picture. Magandang Buhay aired in April, hosted by Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros who in one way or another became part of Kris TV.

Some of her remarkable Kapamilya tv projects were the weekly entertainment news and talk show 'The Buzz, (2000–2010; 2014–2015), primetime entertainment news program 'Aquino and Abunda Tonight' (2014-2015) noontime game show 'Pilipinas, Game Ka Na Ba? (2001-2007), 'Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal' (2006-2009), talent reality competition 'Pilipinas Got Talent' (2010-2013), and morning lifestyle talk show 'Kris TV' (2011-2016).

Whatever her real reasons are, she still remains as the best talk show host. After all, she originally came from GMA which only means she went back home. Good luck Ms. Kris Aquino in your new chapter.
