This revolves about a law student and aspiring professional singer Trixie (Sarah) and a rock singer Gino (Piolo) who collaborates in a song. As they work on their song, they start to develop feelings for each other but their relationship faces numerous challenges as they struggle to navigate life, love, and careers.
Break Up Playlist is a drama, romance and musical film directed by Dan Villegas the director of the award-winning "English Only, Please" and under the production of Viva Films and Star Cinema.

Piolo Pascual came from a very successful movie last year and crowned as the Box Office King last 2014 for Starting Over Again with Toni Gonzaga. While Sarah Geronimo, came from multiple Box Office Queen crown in the past for her movies with Gerald Anderson and John Lloyd Cruz.
"The Breakup Playlist" theme song "Paano Ba Ang Magmahal" was sung by Pascual and Geronimo but it was originally performed by Liezel Garcia and Erik Santos.
Everyone is anticipating this movie since the lead stars are multi-awared movie actors. The Break-up Playlist release in more than 200 cinemas nationwide is on July 1, 2015.
