Gerald Anderson Confirms Break-Up with Maja Salvador

After 2 years of relationship, kapamilya stars Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador have decided to part ways, the 26-year-old actor confirmed on Tuesday during a press conference for his upcoming primetime series "Nathaniel," which will premiere on Monday.

In an interview showed at "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" Anderson said, "Opo, we are taking a break muna sa relationship namin, but okay kami, we're on very good terms and nag-uusap kami. We're doing this together and we're taking this step by step together. I just want to say thank you sa fans namin, who are always there, sa friends, family namin... All we ask right now is just please respect our privacy, please respect her."

Gerald doesn't want to get into details with regards to the reason behind the break-up. "I don't want to go into details... Hayaan niyo po muna kaming mag-recover muna, dahil hindi po biro po 'yung pinagdaanan namin, so just please, sana po respect our privacy and all I ask is please respect her as much as you can," he added.

As of writing, Maja hasn’t reacted on the said confirmation of Gerald.

Anderson and Salvador first confirmed their relationship in May 2013, same year when Salvador had a rift with actress Kim Chiu, who was an ex-girlfriend of Anderson.



Currently, Maja is part of the teleserye Bridges of Love with Jericho Rosales and Paulo Avelino while Gerald will be in Nathaniel that will start on April 20 on Primetime Bida with Shaina Magdayao and Pokwang.
